ROCKET RACCOON #11 – MARVEL COMICS – (W) Skottie Young (A) Jake Parker
Rocket comes full circle here to nicely cap off what I can only assume is his final issue, finally meeting another of his kind before realising he doesn’t give a rats about his past, the future is where it’s at. Young effortlessly conveys this simple life lesson amongst black jokes and toilet humour in a style that has really symbolised the series for me. I think now is the perfect time to wrap things up as well, because while I’ve enjoyed this immensely, it can often tread familiar ground and I’d hate to see it grow tired and old. Kudos to you Skottie Young, my only regret is that you couldn’t draw more issues.
