Slott is hitting all the right notes in this emotionally charged, sci-fi relationship drama and gives me great hope (and supreme fear) for the quality and content of the upcoming Spider-Man: Renew Your Vows. Like seriously Dan, how hard are you going to keep hitting before you let me pick my heart up off the floor? In terms of the visual quality of the story, the Allreds weave a twisting tale of four parts, the panels forming a giant figure 8 across several pages forcing the reader to turn the book at one point and begin reading it backwards/upside down. It’s difficult to describe but I found it very effective in conveying the cyclical nature of the action without a great deal of repetition. I am very nearly at the point where I can not bear to see what happens to our pair next, but I’m too deep now, I have to know.
